When comparing prices
realize that a ring's thickness [inside to outside]
can make a difference in price. Many competitors will not disclose
the exact thickness of a band so you can not compare price.
If anyone tells you that thickness of the ring varies
from ring to ring, either they are selling inferior cast bands & not high
quality
die struck bands, or they are trying to mislead you.
Furthermore, according to the Platinum Guild 950% platinum is the preferred
alloy,
and it does not matter which alloy is the other 5%. Either Ruthenium or Iridium
is acceptable.
Remember these are trace alloys which have no material effect on the price
or value of the ring.
Also look for hidden "restocking fees" which we've seen to be as
high as 20% or more!
